Wise Care - Thrive to Achieve Your Best

Resilient Caring Hearts Workshop

(Self-Paced Online and In-Person Group Training)

Duration: 4 hours

Working in aged care today comes with its own set of unique challenges. Our clients often have diverse and complex needs.  Additionally, teamwork might not be as robust as it once was. Balancing busy work and personal lives can feel overwhelming, leaving us little time to take care of ourselves.

If you can relate to this, the Resilient Caring Hearts program is here to offer you support and understanding.

Our program focuses on three key areas:

  • Self-awareness: Understanding your own emotions, strengths, weaknesses and triggers. This helps you recognise when you’re feeling stretched and allows you to respond more effectively.
  • Skill-building: Developing new skills or enhancing existing ones in supporting elders through problem-solving techniques, communication skills and stress management.
  • Self-care: Taking deliberate actions to maintain and improve your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing through realistic and sustainable solutions.

What is included?

  • Self-paced 4-hour training session
  • Unlimited access to the program and updates
  • Worksheets, scripts and templates

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognise signs of psychological distress and appropriate interventions.
  • Apply self-awareness techniques to improve decision-making and problem-solving.
  •  Master techniques for clear and efficient communication in aged care settings.
  •  Overcome common communication barriers with clients and colleagues.
  •  Identify triggers and warning signs of violent and aggressive behavior.
  •  Learn de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations safely.
  •  Explore stress management techniques to reduce burnout and improve resilience.
  •  Create a self-care routine to maintain balance and prevent burnout.

How to register:

The workshop will be available as a self-paced training program. It is also available in person for group bookings. For further details, please email [email protected] or provide your details below, and we will be in touch with updates as they arise.
